These members personally stay in touch with our funded agencies, projects and programs, ensure that the monies granted to the groups are being used as intended and keep their eyes open for additional opportunities to reach out to the community.
We coined a new word for our photographer and videographer. With help from other members, he documents HHUG events and activities.
HHUG recognizes that we need to raise money in order to keep funding the programs we support and to grant new requests. This Committee suggests and organizes, along with all members, those fundraising events.
This Committee retains copies of special correspondence between HHUG and our grantees, provides a record of events/activities and maintains an updated Album, including pictures and notes of appreciation or recognition.
In August, 2012 HHUG “went live” with our web-site and an e-mail address for easier access for anyone interested in learning more about our organization. The web-site was created and continues to be managed by our volunteer Web-Master. HHUG also has an updated Power Point for use in making presentations to interested groups.
This Committee focuses on how to help the community better understand what HHUG does and how they can best interact with us. Potential avenues of outreach include the media (newspapers, TV, radio) and speaking engagements.
All organizations look for new, interested, energetic members! HHUG would love to hear from you. This Committee looks for ways to encourage membership.
